Work & Training operates across Tasmania providing Apprentice and Employment Services (AES) and training services. For over 35 years, we’ve taken pride in our excellent reputation for service provision and partnership with businesses.
We are a specialised provider of:
- Apprentice and Employment Services (AES) – employment of trainees and apprentices
- Nationally Recognised training and short courses
- Foundation Skills Programs
- Skills assessment, training and support for retrenched workers
Operations began in 1988 and today Work & Training employ in excess of 300 apprentices, trainees and labour hire employees. We deliver training to more than 450 students per year through our Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and host a variety of employability programs through our Foundation Skills Division. These collective services allow Work & Training to tailor employment solutions to a vast range of stakeholders across Tasmania.
The organisation is committed to increasing the skills and employment opportunities of all Tasmanians, including working with indigenous and culturally-diverse people, long-term unemployed, and people with a disability.
With offices located in Hobart, Launceston, Devonport and employing in excess of 40 dedicated team members across Tasmania, Work & Training are well equipped to meet the employment and training needs of the State.
We are a not-for-profit organisation. Any surpluses we make are reinvested back into our business to expand the delivery of employment and training services to Tasmanians. Governance occurs via our Board of Directors who guide the strategic direction and provide effective leadership for our business.
